Hi,

Trust you are well.

I have been playing Unreal Gold for the past few days, my first playthrough. Nice game, hard to believe the game was actually launched in 1998, 22 years ago. huge draw distance and believable lighting though lacking in polys and textures.

Regarding my problem, i have a strange issue wherein my weapons skip rendering textures as soon as i pick up belt, its perfectly reproducible, happens everytime i pick up a belt, and doesnt correct even if i restart the game.. gets a bit distracting.

Is there a known solution for this problem?

Thanks.

As far as I remember, depending on the type of rendering, some effects can be turned on or off in the game options. Thus, with simplified graphics, when picking up a protective belt, instead of glowing, the character is completely covered with a golden shell (or colored shell in multiplayer game regarding team color), and it will be shown until the belt is completely used up. But to judge this, we need to see your screenshot.
A similar effect can also occur in UT99 GOTY, since essentially the engine and most of the graphics settings are the same there.
