So I've found many interesting maps to try on Steam Workshop, so managed to download them and put them into maps folder. But there is no way to choose these ones in-game.

According to the attached image from the steam version, there is dedicated entry maps selection to choose the steam ones specifically, so I guess it's just a filter issue that make them to not appear.

So my question is this:
can anyone here reach the developer on any active social media and ask him about a possibility to implement the selection of steam maps that are beforehand have been downloaded and put into maps folder?
