Hahaha, that was fun. Died within minutes, after picking up some gold. How many others did the same mistake, despite the lovely chap's ominous warning?

What happens if you take from the gold?

Nothing initially. But when I went down the other ladder, all my health ran away and I died. Was fun though =)

I'm too used to being a loot-whore in RPGs :p

I could just tell that this was going to be the game's way of telling you that you ought be cautious, but I decided to take the gold anyways just to see what would happen. I did notice before I died that the gold hadn't been added to my counter, but to my inventory as individual stacks, but I didn't have time to drop it all before it killed me. Pretty sure that that would've saved me had I been quicker. :3c
