I'm having this problem where the mouse moves just fine if I move it either vertically or horizontally, but if I try to move it diagonally, it's like I'm moving against strong wind or something. It's hard to explain, but there is some real resistance to it.

I've tried looking around but came up short, and I've tried changing the clock cycles, all to no avail.

The game is completely unplayable, as I can't really select anything without it being a huge hassle, and literally anything I have to use the mouse for becomes almost impossible.

Anyone know what to do?

UPDATE: I figured it out. I'll leave the topic up for anyone else who runs into the same problem in the future...

Try disabling the “enhance pointer precision” option. To do this, go to Start -> Control Panel -> Mouse -> Pointer Options, then make sure that “Enhance pointer precision” is un-checked, and click OK.

What worked for me was simply increasing the mouse sensitivity via the "dosboxULTIMA1.conf" file in the game's directory.

I changed "sensitivity" from 100 to 250 and that seems to have almost completely corrected the problem.

I just connected my Logitech Gs 700 Wireless with an usb cable. Solved my controlling problems with the underworld series completely.
