Ever since I updated my Windows 10, there's been a strange glitch where every time I update the map and close it, it erases all data on it. It just becomes a blank page. I checked the maps on the other levels and they're all gone too.

The only other thing I've noticed is that the first note of the music gets skipped whenever I open the game(that little tune at the intro screen).

I can still play the game, but I kinda need the map...

My first guess is the game has been installed in some kind of protected location. UU updates the map and writes to the file, then Windows reverts the change.

I tried re-installing the game, but it didn't help. I still have the map filled in on my save file as I haven't saved the game post-map deletion, but I can't seem to find a way around it.

Where is it installed initially, and where did you try installing it for the re-install?

I installed it on both occasions to Program Files (x86)

That might be a/the problem (though I'm not sure).

Try installing to a new folder, something like "C:/GogGames/UltimaUnderworld".

Oh crap. I'm sorry to hear that. :(

Can you pull it back out of the Recycle Bin?

I recommend never doing that. Games can act funny in that directory, because of rights issues.

Create a games directory somewhere and install your games in there.
