So I just got UU. Enjoying it so far, but I have 1 question: You can move forward with W and turn with A and D, but pressing S also moves you forward. Is there some way of configuring S to back up instead?

Also, are there any other recommended configurations for UU? I've already changed the sound settings and set it to hq3x scaling with my desired resolution (1366x768. Looks surprisingly good).

Thanks! :)

EDIT: Sorry, clarification. I know X is walk back, but it feels kind of unnatural to me, so it'd be much nicer if I could put walk forward on X and walk back on S.

use the dosbox mapper Ctrl-F1 there you can remap any real key to dos key.
so in your case you would click on the box for 'x' and then click add and then press s on your physical keyboard. save and now anytime you press s your generating an x event.

to move backwards is X

S and W are different from walk and run.

Exactly what I was looking for, thanks. :)
Essentially, the default keyboard controls for the Underworld games are down one row from the modern WASD style. This includes Z and C being used to strafe along with X being for backwards movement. W amounts to an extra command (run instead of walk), and there will be times when running vs walking makes a difference.
