Hello guys!

So I bought the UU 1+2 pack recently and I'm very excited about playing those great games :)
But there's one thing bothering me... is the (in)famous item/ inventory bug from UU 1 fixed in the GoG version? The one that corrupts some of your items when total number of items on the level exceeds some upper limit... As I heard that this one can pretty much ruin all the fun, by making the game unwinnable... alongside with another infamous bug, "why-not-to-take-some-lava-bath" Judy, lol.

Cheers

I've never had Judy take a bath in all my runs, and I don't recall hitting the "too much stuff" bug in the GOG version, but I seem to recall hearing about someone else having that problem. So...I think it still exists, but it isn't as bad as from the original release.

No. The issue is still there in GoG UW1. I got the message about being over the item limit whenever traveling to the floor of the dungeon where I'd left all my stuff (food, weapons, scrolls, etc).

Maybe I could address this bug in my UW1/UW2 patches..
i have found that destroying useless items helps prevent the Inventorybug
and avoiding putting containers in other containers (read somewhere that the game can bug out from this)

generally i accomplish this by throwing stuff into water/lava, usually one at a time for stackable items

esp all them broken weapons that are all over the place
and the weeds though early on they can be good to keep for food

i havent had judy take a lava bath either but i guess it could happen. though i dont remember her ever moving

I seem to recall it is more of a problem if something (player or a monster) bumps her, either into the lava or out of position (and then maybe she over-corrects and visits Tom more directly).

makes sense, i guess i never had a prob with her since i dont go near her except to talk to her and stay at a respectful distance when doing so XD

She's stuck in a corner pretty well. Half the time I end up talking to her while standing on the lava. XD
I've been playing since the 90s (from a compilation games CD)

- NEVER LOST ANY ITEMS, even once, on my person or on the ground.
- I always saw the annoying "Underworld internal error - problem in Object list" -in every single one of my games since I bought the game - I just learned to ignore it
- Never managed to push Judy into the lava but it sounds hilarious I have to try it

Glad to hear that.
So I did some research and it seems that CD version actually received some patch that raised the upper item limit per lvl (and the GoG version should be patched aswell). And some other ppl also claim that despite seeing the message about an error in object list, they actually do not notice any negative impact on the gameplay. Items don't disappear/ change, just don't get corrupted in any way. I really hope it won't be a problem anymore and I can start my dungeon-crawling without hesitation :)

And also... yeah, make her burn. She deserved... probably... in some way :P

I did have a play through that matched this. I'd get the error message every time I entered the 4th level, but nothing ever came of it and I completed that run without problems.

Go ahead and enjoy a good dungeon crawl.

Might want to delay that some. ;)
Unfortunately I kept seeing the message and lost some items. I didn't care about the food but I did lose the Key of Truth and now I can't finish the game. I made it to level 8 but I don't have the heart to start a new game.
