Hello! I've purchased Ultima 8 Gold Edition, which has the latest patch installed (2.13).

I've been playing the game for some days and now I'm becoming a Theurgist at Argent Rock Isle... I'm in the part when I collect the silver ores in the catacombs underneath the monastery.

Even though I have the silver ores, when I tell Korick to forge me the foci he says that I don't have any silver ores!

I think this is a known bug, it is even mentioned in www.pdragon.net/u8/tech.html .

Any ideas? I'm stuck!

Did you try the fix mentioned on the page you linked (dropping all other inventory items on the ground and then talking to Korick)?

I also vaguely remember there being a bug to do with bags in the inventory. While it looks like you have all the ore directly in your backpack already, dropping all your bags on the ground might help too.

Actually the fix mentioned on the page I linked was found by me! I found out that you need to drop all the items and leave only the silver ores in the backpack. As soon I figured this out, I contacted the author of the page and asked him to update the page, LOL

For the record, this is the fix:

Drop all items and leave only the silver ores. Korick should acknowledge now that you have the silver ores.

The weirdest part is that if I put all items back in the backpack, now the bug doesn't happen anymore... you only have to do it once.. go figure... maybe it has something to do with the bags, as you mentioned.
