So, I just recently tried playing some of Ultima 6 and it booted up fine and runs okay, but after I finish the starting combat and talk to someone, the music stops completely during conversation. When I use the talk command on myself or nothing the current track stops, and a new one, seemingly selected between a few at random starts playing.

Anyone else having this issue, or have any thoughts on what it could be? I'm kind of baffled. I'm running on Windows 7, 64-bit, if that helps.

Thanks in advance!

As far as I can tell, that seems to be the way the game is supposed to work.

(I suspect the actual technical reason is some sort of loading issue; maybe the game can't have both dialogue and music loaded at the same time?)
Alrighty. I mean, I sorta figured the music stopping during conversation was possibly normal, but I thought I'd mention it, too. But the music changing when I used the talk command on nothing seemed really weird. I coulda swore it wasn't like that, but my last memories of the game were when I was a lot younger, so I suppose it must be my memory or I just never gave it thought at the time.

Either way, thanks for the help!
