Other than the no drm. I heard that the gog version has a patch 1.19g as opposed to 1.19f and was wondering if this was enough to make it worth a buy seeing its on sale right now.

Otherwise the origin version seems to run ok, you have to keep the setup screen up in the background though or it reverts to 640x480. I tried applying the patch 1.19h as well which i found via google but i'm not sure if it worked as the journal main page still says its 1.19f, but this may just be because it's an unofficial patch.

You are correct: the patch versioning in game does not change for patches above 1.19f.

All patches are avaialbe on the net (e.g. on my site https://sirjohn.de/en/ultima9/ ) so if it isn't for the DRM: no, IMO it's not worth it.
