Uboat has not seen any updates here on GoG since March last year. That's 21 months without any updates, the last being B127 Hotfix 3, according to the changelog that HypersomniacLive last posted here in the forum. Steam on the other hand, has received more that 50 individual updates since GoG's last B127 Hotfix 3 update, and they (Steam) currently stand at B130 Hotfix 2.

Are there any owners of the GoG version able to confirm whether they have an updated version of Uboat newer than B127 Hot fix 2 ?.

I'm asking the above because I am very interested in the game (though it's not my usual genre) and have watched many youtube game play videos showing the finer workings of this game, and really liked what I see. Knowing it was available on GoG, I was really thinking of making a purchase, even though it is still in development, which is a stage I never purchase a game at, but this seemed really worth the risk, judging by the (admittedly slow, but) great progress the dev's were making with this game. That was until I investigated the GoG version...

EDIT: Right!, I've just had a search of the Uboat Steam forum to see if there was any information I could glean from there regarding support and updates with regards to the GoG release of Uboat. From what I did find (last post was dated from around Jun this year) was that all/most platforms should/will be eligible for the beta program, including GoG. So, because of the apparent lack of updates posted here (in this forum) for Uboat, I can only assume that these updates maybe/are now only offered to Galaxy users ?.

EDIT2: Added URL for the Steam post/s I was referring to...

Can anyone please confirm or deny my suspicions to my 'edit' above ?.

Hello,

for Galaxy, I don't know.
The offline installer is up to date (B131).

Brilliant!, thanks for letting us know, it's just what I wanted to hear. :)

I really thought that the game (regarding its updates) had severely fallen behind because the lack of changelogs that have been post here since March last year. So glad that that is not the case, and it is as up-to-date as the Steam version. :)
Hello,

hope you like the game.
Don't hesitate to use tutos and wikipédia for learn systems ship and fire soluces.

Thanks, I bought the game yesterday. I haven't installed it yet, but am currently watching a great youtube tutorial series for the game (link below), just to prime myself of the games finer points, before I finally dive in (pun intended)... ;)
