Well, I guess I have to ask a potentially stupid question. Throwing weapons, like javelins, can be used as either 1h melee weapons or throwing weapons. How do you choose which mode you use? I cannot for the life of me find it, and if I give my dual wielder a javelin, he will only throw it. Is it broken or am I blind?

My character throws javelins when he's far away from the enemy and uses them in melee when he's close enough. I don't think there is a separate melee or ranged mode.
