I tried and it did not work for me. I get as far as the start screen and can let the credits roll, the moment I hit the New Game (kinda blind as the screen is weirdly tilted) button, nothing ever happens.
I have a 2018 MBPro, Radeon Vega 20, 2.6Ghz core i7, 32GB RAM running Catalina 10.15.7

It works just fine for me (on an intel-based macbook pro with integrated graphics and running Catalina 10.15.7) although the laptop gets quite hot.
