I've found a screen/graphics glitch in Two Worlds II that makes it completely unplayable. After finishing the tutorial level (escape the dungeon/alchemy room) a large part of the screen suddenly turns black (like a broken/corrupted monitor/screen would look) and most of the textures do not load.

Any ideas on how to fix that? All my drivers are updated and I've tried uninstalling/reinstalling the game.

Not sure if related, but have a look at

The solution was simple enough, the desktop shortcut GOG made for Two Worlds II was for the DX 10 version, in the Two Worlds II folder there is a "regular" version (I assume it just uses DX 11) that works perfect.

The non-DX10 executable runs the DX9 version of the game. Only reason the DX10 version wouldn't work for you I would think would be your 3d-card driver not being updated to the latest version. The only version I run is the DX10 version. No problems so far.

I run Saints Row The Third in DX10/11 with absolutely zero problems, same with Civ V and every other game I have that uses DX10 automatically or gives a choice. Anyway, I've heard Two Worlds II is buggy/glitchy anyway, so I'm not wasting too much time wondering why it doesn't want to work in DX10.

No prob...;) Just wanted to let you know that the game runs fine for me under the DX10 executable--so you'd know that it was something besides game bugs causing your particular problem. There's not that much difference between the DX9/DX10 versions, anyway.

Yeah no problem, and I do appreciate it.

I had some problems but after turning off AA, the game runs smooth. 60 fps with no glitches. You should also take a look at this thread for more tuning. An be sure to download this mod as well

my advice to playing two world 2 it realy does have it's issues however it can still be played if you do what i did go to the folder where tw2 is installed and look for an icon called dx10 shortcut make a shortcut of that icon and use it to replace the tw2 icon on your desktop then run the game by using the dx10 shortcut icon no more issues
Both do run almost the same for me, except some little graphical differences. The biggest problem was the motion blur while running (no matter which DX version) but you can fix this problem with a config file.
