I am looking forward to this more than Fallout: New Vegas, more than the next Mass Effect, more than the next Bioshock and more than Gothic IV. About the only cRPG I am looking forward to more is The Witcher 2, but it's not out until 2011!

Of course, I am playing Two Worlds again, to get in the mood for the late November release! :)

Just in case you've missed the forum chatter, on no accounts should you buy, or in any way look forward to Gothic 4. Please trust me on this.

sorry why should he trust you??? I know many that enjoyed the game.
i have to disagree with you , ive played the demo twice and i loved it so i will get the game
i do recommend that if any one wants to buy the game (like any game u buy) you play the demo.
it gives you a good insight of how the game looks and feels, to me it looked great it played well and unlike many people im not as fussie and picky as they are. im an rpg buff so it takes a bit to turn me off ang rpg game.

ps: I dont understand why people wish to be the first to buy a game when there could be bugs or what have you, you should always wait a while then check out the reviews,comments on the forums and wait for any patches to be updated then you get it if you want to.

2 worlds one was useless from what a read.... it wont run it wont stop , this bug that bug crash here flicker there bla bla bla ...when it came out, but i brought it a year after and i never had 1 bug or problem in the game. But if I TRUSTED THEIR REVIEW i would of missed one off the best games out there. I M O

Nice flaming there! It has it all, the bad grammer, block capitals, and misunderstanding of the original post. We don't normally get all three on GOG, usually they're more sedate.

I did not say he should trust me. I said "Please" trust me. He is of course free to make that mistake himself. I was wanting to alert him to the fact that there have been some very bad reviews of the game, and I implicitly added that I agreed.

I also played the demo of Gothic 4, and bought the game on the strength of it. It was a very well prepared demo. I then played through the game, and discovered that the game is nothing more than the demo. I'm almost at the end, and have not found a single thing that is not included in the demo. Not even a new looking character. So I would also ask you to "Please trust me", what you get in the demo is all that there is. Yor repeat the demo for about 20 hours, with totally mundane quests, bad acting, and tedious combat.

So read reviews, and "trust their review" (note spelling of "their").

@wpegg

I understood where you were coming from to warn me, and I took that in the right way with the 'please',k but I have played the demo and seen the reviews now so it has gone down my list, but not off it.

Y'see we get so few cRPG's compared to shooters and more action games, I rate them on a price level, rather than a 'getting level'. So whereas Two Worlds 2 has a value of £30, Gothic IV only has a value of £10, meaning I will buy Two Worlds 2 when it's £30 (straight away then!) and will wait until I see Gothic IV on ebay or bargain bin when it's £10.

I buy every cRPG - "good" or "bad" (and no cRPG is really bad in my book, just because it's a cRPG!) it just a matter of how much I will pay for it.

If a 70% game at £30, then it must be closer to a 90% game for £10, in that as I play it, I will say 'Well, I only paid £10 for it!"!! :)
