I downloaded the game yesterday, try to run it today and see the desktop shortcut now points to a .tmp file! I go to the installation folder and the twoworlds.exe and twoworlds_RADEON.exe files have gone!

I then reinstall and the game starts and I find the mouse isn't being recognised, so have to Crl-Alt_Delete out. Shut down twoworlds.exe in Task Manager and once again the shortcut points to a .tmp file and the two exe's have gone!

I am running XP-SP3, and I wonder if that's an issue?
Touch wood, it seems my PC doesn't like having my GOG version of Two Worlds and the retail version of Two Worlds II installed at the same time! I saved my saves and uninstalled TW 2 and re-installed Two Worlds and it seems okay now!

Who would have thought!

All of my GOG games have had the exe deleted from them for some reason Two worlds Duke 3d and Postal 2 so I had to re-install them all

Well, in that case the whole thing is weirder than I thought!
Could it be your antivirus that places the .exe files into a quarantine chest?

I got TW2 retail installed, and recently I bought TW1 from GoG and had no issues with missing .exe files?

You made my day. I experienced this issue with Lords of the Fallen and I was oblivious. After seeing your post, I located my anti-virus' quarantine vault and restored the .exe file.

Thank you!
