Downloaded the game but it doesn't even launch (even with no backround applications running). Nothing happens :(
Windows 10 x64. Geforce GTX 770 (newest drivers).
Same here. Well, this is fun.

Surface Pro 3, Windows 10.

I think I'm gonna get a refund. I don't have time to mess with this in settings and figure out how to get it running. If I can't play, I would rather have my money back.

I had this too but only using the desktop icon. Ga,me works fine using the Galaxy client.
Still won't work, I've uninstalled, redownloaded, used different installers other than the English one... everything. It sounds like it would crash even if I were able to get it started going by other threads.

Great job, guys.
Mine crashes as soon as I try and launch the game. I get a Window pop-up that says:

Exception caught in main: see CRASHLOG.TXT for info

Lots of code in that crash log, but the top part has:

sobek caused a Microsoft C++ Exception (0xe06d7363)
in module KERNELBASE.dll at 0023:74b7c42d.

Same here. Also, if I don't disable my anti-virus before starting the game it even crashes the whole OS.

I've contacted support with DxDiag details already. I don't really want to wait for hotfixes so if support is not able to resolve the technical issue, I'll go for a refund.

Edit: See update below

Edit: Forget it... GOG won't let me post the whole log as it's too big, and if I try to split it into multiple posts GOG tries to merge them, resulting in the same thing.

GOG posted in the thread about the crash issue and they said they released a hotfix version. Try redownloading? I think it is installer version 2.0.0.3.

Here's an update on my situation. With the installer version 2.0.0.3 the game starts now. I had to put the game directory in the exception list of my anti-virus software though or it would freeze my computer.

Now let's hope there are no ingame crashes.

Latest version stops the initial crash. I've not tested the rest of the game yet, mind. Still, I have to say the devs threw out a fix quickly, so +1 there.

Edit: Still not got far but it's working a-okay for me right now.

Yeah, seems fine now. I got all the way through the first Level without any crashes or glitches. Actually it plays very well.

Agreed; I've not had any crashes, stutters or general issues since the patch. Very happy!
I've tried to install the Version named at the Posts above. But the Problem stays the same.
