Not a true mod, but I would commend to play with this script active (search for the post labeled "reply #54"):

It corrects a bug causing you to get doubled income from hotels, which makes the game far too easy and ruins tourism as balanced option, IMHO.

Wow, so this was a bug! And I always thought: "Why tourism is so damn profitable in this game?"

Thanks to pointing me that the file is down there. The good news is that I still have it around - the bad news that I haven't found a place for uploading yet...GOG forums only accept pictures and the upload function in the Cafe Tropico forum seems to be broken completely now. But it will try to find a solution...stay tuned...
