So, I thought we should start a thread to collect great mods as we do for every single game, so here is the one covering Torchlight!

I'm starting with the Torchlight Texture Project by SorrySoldOut.

It replaces the game's original textures with less cartoonish looking ones and I must say that that the author did a great job. =)

Here is a video of the game with the textures installed (even though the mod has been updated since then):

So, what else have ya got?

Here's a list of mods I have found fun/useful:

- Aegis Maps vol 1 (and vol 2) (Adds new maps/level chunks to the game)
- Brighter Map (makes minimap brighter)
- Demon Huntress Armor (Vanquisher equipment reskin)
- Imaginary Pet (lets you play with no pet, but still have the inventory and sell-at-town pet features)
- Lady Knight (new class)
- Light Zealot (pet version of a late-game monster)
- Enchants Never Wipe (enchanter can't wipe your weapons clean from stat increases)
- Recipes Deluxe (adds a bunch of new transmuting recipies)
- Starch (adds a Leviathan boss that was intended to be in the game but was never finished before release)
- Vanquisher Stab Rebalance (rebalances an ordinarily fairly useless Vanquisher melee skill)
- Paladin (new class)
- Weapon Booster V (adds weapon models normally used only by monsters)
- Whitecloak Vanquisher (Vanquisher equipment reskin)

And because I am a shameless self-promoter, here's a list of some mods that are of my own making (or in a couple cases that I collaborated on):

- Torchlight Chainsword Massacre
- Royal Armory
- Spellbreaker Equipment Lite
- Spiritist Class
- Lego Wizard Pet
- Splitting Monsters
Here are some I have been using:

- Better Balanced Sale Prices
- Better Random Quest Rewards
- Fafnir the Dragon (a pet dragon)
- Inventory mod (increases the maximum stack value, and switches categories a bit)
- LvlAndSkillMod -Max Lvl to 999, fame 200, skill 30 (increases the level and skill capacity)
- Merchant Pack (adds more merchants, each specializing in a specific type of item)
- More Stash (adds 19 more stash chests)
- Smarter Pets & Minions

I found this one today which I haven't tried out yet but seems great:
- TL2_Pets (Adds pets from Torchlight 2)

Ah thanks for your great lists! :) Can't wait to try the TL2 pets. Here's a mod that adds more fish and is to be used with the TL2 Pets mod:

This thread is sort of useless, since it has been confirmed that the GOG version does not support mods. DUmb move on GOG/s Part
It's a bit premature to say it's "confirmed that the GOG version does not support mods" when it could easily just be a bug/mistake of some kind.
I mean, TorchED is specifically included in the GOG release -- what would be the point of them doing that, if they intentionally disabled mod functionality? It would be nonsensical.
Thanks for this thread :) new to playing TL so don't have any links to add at present but I wanted to express my appreciation.

BUt the GOG version, as of now, does not support mods. That is a fact.
I suspect it will be fixed, but still GOG messed up here.
Gog needs to fix this pronto. I don;t want to start playing until I can mod the game.

Please check your account as we have just recently rolled out an update for Torchlight that improves compatibility with mods.

Hi,

Just for my curiosity, can you elaborate a little more about the technical reasons behind mods compatibility problems? Is it related to the removal of DRM like some speculated?

Thanks!

See, let me tell you a little story:

You may know that we at GOG.com house a rare species of bear called the server bear(Ursus serverus). Now, these server bears are usually pretty docile when they're maintaining the servers and chilling in the server room. Sometimes, they get bored and pull pranks on us, especially when they have been playing too much Uplink. They'll switch files on us, take screencaps of our desktops and remove all the icons.... So TLDR: those rascally server bears did it :D

Seriously speaking, I would like to apologize on the behalf of the GOG.com team for any inconveniences this mod issue may have caused. Thanks again for your patience :D.

No problem as far as I'm concerned, I trust you guys and I give you all the slack you need.

I wish that Torchlight release on GOG be a success for both GOG and Runic, so that we will get Torchlight 2 here as well (eventually).

I'd also love to see here released on day-one Grim Dawn and Divinity - Original Sin. BTW Maybe the time is right for Divinity 2 - DKS? Titan Quest Gold?

I know, that was off topic but I just had to say it. :)

Unfortunately, I can't reveal future release information. Sorry :(
