When you reach Act 2, you will be encountering Ezrohir Marksmen. Those Marksmen can summon 2 Shrapnel Scarabs, who attack your character and explode shortly after. When they explode, sometimes they leave gold/items.

If you have high enough HP Regen and Defenses, you can simply park your character near one of those Marksmen for a night. You can also put something heavy on your keyboard and mouse, so that your character could auto-attack in direction of scarabs, this way you will also get some EXP.
