Hello and many thanks.
Tried to execute this script on Arch Linux x64 (Linux 4.18.16-arch1-1-ARCH) and got an error:
Error:
identify not found. Install it before running this script.

You need to install the "imagemagick" package prior to running this script.
Run the following command if you want to be sure that all the script dependencies are available:
pacman -S imagemagick libarchive
It looks like the dependencies list on the website is incomplete, I’m going to fix this.

I fixed the instructions on the website, thank you for your report ;)

Thank you.
With magemagick installed script works good.
Anyone else seeing glitched character and NPC models in TL2 while playing under Debian?

I’m going to give it a try.

What’s the ./play.it version you used?
You can get it with:
head /usr/local/games/torchlight-2
And the package version?
apt policy torchlight-2
After giving this another try, seems to be working better. The only issue now is very low gamma/contrast when I load the game. Not sure this has anything to do with the play.it script since there is no adjustment for this in game settings either.

I do not see this with a AMD GPU, using Mesa + amdgpu open-source driver.
What kind of GPU and driver do you use?
