Is there a way to:
a) 'level up' your learned spells, and
b) identify items without an identify scroll?

a.) Spells come into 3 types: Offense, Defense, and Charm which could be enhanced by increasing their respective mastery under your Skills - Offensive/Defensive/Charm Spell Mastery.
b.) There's Identify Spell which you could buy when it appears on Triya's (Gem Merchant) inventory. I believe it could be dropped too or purchased on traveling merchants but Triya is the most reliable.

Also most spells have a range of levels (e.g. Fireball I - VI), as you find a higher level scroll of the same spell you can replace your old one.
