i'm trying to install some mods for torchlight 1, and i'm following the instructions that I've found, but in the "appdata" folder, it doesn't have a "runic games", torchlight or other folder. do I just create a folder with these names? what exactly should I do?

Have you tried running the game yet? Sometimes these folders won't be created until the game has been run once.

i've created at least a character, and accept the first quest. it didn't appeared.

Just to be clear, have you looked in your AppData/Roaming folder for the Runic Games folder (not just Appdata)? It should be there if you've already run the game.

i've searched everywhere, the folder for runic games doesn't exist. I've tried to unninstall the game and installing again, but it didn't work. I'm using the GOG Galaxy, maybe this could be the problem?

That may well be the case. I installed the game a few days ago (using the offline installer) and the folder was created when I started a new game.

I'm not sure how to bypass Galaxy as I don't use it - maybe completely uninstall the game and then use the offline installer and make sure to install somewhere like C:\GOG Games (not C:\Program Files or Program Files (x86). Hope this helps.

I've tried a lot of stuff... and I'm still not sure what it is... but i'm finally able to install mods. was able to get them running. thanks for the help!
