It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

ilozen: Yeah, I'm having the same issue as well (Win7) with the patch installed. Is someone doing something about it or did Gog decide again to do nothing with a broken game?
As usual they are doing nothing about it. You know it bloody pisses me off these people are selling a game to you and it doesn't work properly! I am so infuriated with gog that I will never buy anything from this site again!

Voodooman: I wonder, why nobody from have skills to reverse engineer game. fix some broken outdated API calls that renders video in ugly overlay, apply interlacing and make it work like a charm? Few days or weeks with OllyDBG can fix this problem and many more problems with other old games on (

What i really hate about gog is the fact that they only capable to use third party fixes and solutions and barely able to make 1st party fix.

GOG really need to hire few old asm \ Reverse engineering DOS \ Windows gurus that will be able to fix everything by changing few bytes in game exes and dlls. Its not impossible! Just require knowledge and some time to fix!
Yes but in case you hadn't figured it out GOG is run by capitalist cowboys that just install old games on to a server for people to download. They make money from it and if you're lucky they include a third party fix.

I have bought Journeyman project 3 and the game doesn't entirely work properly, tomb raider 1 works fine, tr 2 has a sound looping problem, cutscenes without sounds and lack of fmv's, Tr 3 is probably the only other playable of the 3 minus the fmv's again of course!

GOG either don't test their games or they deliberately sell games that they know full well don't work properly, in spite of the fact their requirements list state that windows 7 works for example. NO IT BLOODY DOESN'T!

This program solves the problem.

It's a but cumbersome to set up (follow the instructions), but after that it's a desktop shortcut that just runs the game properly.
Once again though, random users and fans have to do the publisher's and the shop's job...

I tried that injector and it didn't seem to make any difference. I was already happily playing the game without issue by using the unofficial xp/vista patch that's available , though. Since installing that is a prerequisite for the injector, I suggest that people try the unofficial patch first and see if it solves their issue, as it did for me. I have the game running in widescreen on Windows 10 without the problems described in the first post or any cumbersome procedure. It's also been without distortion/stretching since applying the widescreen fix that's available [url="http://tombraiders.net/stella/downloads/widescreen.html"]here.

If you're getting an error about an incompatible version with the unofficial xp/vista patch, as someone mentioned above, it's because you need to select the option in the installer to extract the updates to your desktop. Once done, simply copy the files from the desktop folder that it creates to your TR2 folder.

In summary:
1. Download and run the unofficial xp/vista patch from here.
2. In the installer, select the option to extract the updates to your desktop.
3. Copy the files from the desktop folder that was created to your TR2 folder.
4. Download, run and apply the widescreen fix from here.

I've checked if TR 1,2,3 run for me on win 10, and got problem with TR2 during videos - would hear audio, but couldn't see animations. When escaped, the game would continue normally.

If somebody has this problem on win 10, I was able to see movies after few changes to shortcut, under properties and compatibility tab: ticked run in 640 x480 screen res, ticked override high dpi scaling behavior and ticked run as admin, though the first tick was what fixed it for good in my case.
