I made an all-encompassing Texture, Audio, and FMV patch for Glidos

What is Glidos
Glidos is a program that helps you run Tomb Raider with higher resolution graphics and uses modern graphics cards

I took the best textures (in my opinion) from all available packs and merged them together because Glidos only lets you use one pack at a time. This way you have the maximum number of high resolution textures.

Textures merged together in the pack:
Lara's Home textures by Antonijadis
Levels by John Capon
Title screen and fonts by Matt Hill

This pack also contains: (both in English) (Audio in French and German available at source, FMV in German available at source)
1. Higher quality FMV's from the PS game
2. Complete audio set

Things you need
Tomb Raider 1, 2, 3
Glidos 1.53b (free, but has watermark after 2nd level)
FMV codec
Tomb Raider Mega Patch compiled by yours truly

To install:
1. Download and install Glidos
2. Download and install Tomb Raider 1, 2, 3
3. Download and extract the Tomb Raider Mega Patch to the root of the Glidos directory. You will have 3 new folders - Textures, Audio and FMV
4. Open Glidos and choose "Tomb Raider (GOG)" from the dropdown and click "Adjust"
5. Go the "Executable" tab and browse for the Tomb Raider 1 executable (default path should be: C:\GOG Games\Tomb Raider 1+2+3\Tomb Raider 1\TOMBRAID\tomb.exe"
6. Adjust Glidos's Audio/Movies settings, changing the "Background sounds" setting to "Use Audio Pack".
7. Adjust Glidos's Audio/Movies settings, checking the box labelled "Use FMV pack".
8. Adjust Glidos's Textures settings, checking the box labelled "Use texture pack to override textures" and select "JC" from the dropdown
9. Click "OK" and then "Start Game"
10. In the main menu of the game, go to "Detail Levels" and choose "Normal" This enables the newer higher quality textures.
11. Enjoy!

There also another workaround that helped me (Win 7, 64 bit OS).
It's pretty easy fix, so I'll leave it here for people who only want to have their game running in windowed mode with decent graphics. Maybe someone will find it useful:

~> in Tomb Raider game catalogue modify two files: dosboctr.conf and glide.ini.
- in dosboxtr.conf: set 'fullscreen=false', set 'windowresolution=1280x960'.
- in glide.ini: set 'resolution=1280'.
~> in DOSBOX catalogue modify glide.ini.
- in glide.ini set: 'Resolution=1280'.

It helped me, for I had full screen all the time and low graph. This allows to play in widowed mode with nice graph. So far everything moves smooth for me.

Not sure if this will work with Glidos but you can set your resolution and choose to play in a window in the Video settings tab.

I had a hard time with Video tab. All I got from it was tiny tiny window. I sure will try your glidos hi-res patches though. When I'm done being overjoyed that TR runs on my PC at all.

The website for the codec doesn't exist anymore. Has anyone any idea what codec it was and/or where to find it?

Who knows! I'd suggest a source port at this point, given we're talking about a post from...9 years ago, it probably is neither relevant or compatible anymore.
