Bought this game a month ago and still can't get it to work (2,3,LR,TRC work fine) I tried the TR automated fix to run it in windows without DOSbox but after running it the game now won't launch at all. I've tried setting compatibility to WIN xp SP3 to no avail.

Did the game run correctly before installing the patch?
Do you get any error when it crashes?
Do you have .NET Framework 4.0 installed on your system?
Thanks for chiming in! It hasn’t worked correctly since the install, initially it crashed out of the intro FMV but after installing the TR automated fix it doesn’t even bore up, I clicked launch and nothing happens. I do not have the patch you are referring to installed but I could try it

The .NET Framework 4.0 is not a patch but a series of libraries which are required by the Tomb Raider Automated Fix to run correctly, as you can read here.
However the game is supposed to run correctly via DOSBox when you first install it: the Automated Fix might be suggested in order to enhance performances, but should not be required to run the game. Considering this, I would try installing it again (or repairing the game files if you do use Galaxy), just to be sure everything is fine with game files. Then i would try running the game to see if it would crash again after the intro: by the way I suggest you to run it clicking on the game's executable files without launching Galaxy, if you are using it.
In other words, you have to make sure that the game runs correctly via DOSBox, before even thinking of installing patches over it.
Yep I’ve wiped and reinstalled, tried launch through the exe and that doesn’t work either. I should note the game has never run correctly, with or without the patch

This is strange considering that the DOSBox version should be stable enough.
Do you get any errors? Look for them in Windows event log, if needed.
I also suggest you to try selecting a different "Graphics Mode" for DOSBox: look in the Start menu for a tool named Graphics Mode Setup and try different settings.
