Since they launched this horrible patch 5 installer, I can't download the previous one without using gog galaxy.

I got it through Amazon Prime last year (GOG code, though I owned the classics here on GOG from a long time ago). If I had known this would happen, I would have downloaded the prior version asap lol.

Maybe GOG will hear us out like they finally did for Dragon Age; Origins and gave the old version in the Extras section.

I wouldn't mind a copy of the installer. I hadn't downloaded the latest, because I was still hoping for another patch, and I got my wish twisted instead, LOL. I only have the old patch #2 backed up currently.

This shouldn't be necessary at all. GOG is at fault here: they should provide an offline installer for everyone affected by this drastic change.

Having to rely on Galaxy is not the solution...

Which specific files does 1.1.0 change from 1.0.5d? Presumably 1.0.5d is the most desirable version currently?

Last year, every platform, except GOG, got 1-3 Patch 4 and 4-6 Patch 2, which adds golden pistols and for 4-6 fixes some stuff.

February, we got those updates without needing to register to tombraider site to get the golden pistols.

1-3 > v1.0.5d
4-6 > v.1.0.2a

The last 1-3 patch 5 (v1.1.0 DLC), made by Magic Media (and not the hired fans who worked on remasters) added a new mode (Challenge Mode), and 10 new outfits, but they in a very low quality and don't match the quality of others outfits. Along with that, fans from TombRaiderForums tracked more than 50 new bugs that breaks the game or self lock players. Bugs that didn't even exists on v1.0

Based on my experience with AI, there's a highly chance that they used AI to code, there no way you add a new mode and break the entire game! Also, some fans said they used AI to create the new outfits, the launch promo image and the new achievements icons (these last two is really obvious).

For now, the most reliable and stable version for 1-3 Remaster is 1.0.5d

I hope magic media don't touch 4-6 remaster.

There may be some hopeful news, according some posts on Steam (which I don't use but it's still a good source for news. patch notes and info).

I don't know if this is official or not, but it seems that Aspyr is working on an update to fix things that broke with the latest Challenge Mode update. There's no ETA mentioned and it's supposedly for all platforms, including GOG (though the GOG version may come a bit later).

I have no official links to post, as this is info posted by users there. I'll try to see if I can find any official posts. Here's hoping this is true though.

On a separate note, it seems Tomb Raider IV-VI is also getting an update to remove the AI VO that was added in a recent update.

BTW, the outrage over the changes to be very vocal over there as well, so it's just not GOG users who feel that way. I didn't check IV-VI, but for I-III, there a ton of negative reviews when I sorted to recent reviews. So I think Aspyr definitely heard the community on this one lol.
