pierrespartan: Hello srpwnd,

Thank you for your reply, and your quick TtA update.
I reinstalled the game from scratch (containing your fix I guess), got still the same issues (no icon + won't launch, same error message).

Feel free to let me know if you need more info or if I can help resolving this bug.

[edit] I precise that I'm using the downloaded .pkg, not the GoG Galaxy 2.0.

srpwnd: What version did you download and install from GOG? From my experience, it takes some time before GOG distributes it to everyone. The version should be 2.5.2 so if that is not the version you got please try to wait a bit longer.
Oh I see... still have 2.5.1 on the download page. I'll wait 'til the 2.5.2 is released, and let you know how it goes :-)

Bourocco: Hi there devs. Checking in to see if there are any updates regarding the Mac version, especially one that works with El Capitan.

Thanks!

srpwnd: Hi,

we made some changes recently and I got to run the game on El Captain. Could you try installing it and see if it works for you well? Let me know how it goes.
Apologies for the late reply. I saw the update for newer Macs and now see Mac support listed in GOG. However, I noticed that the page states support is for 10.13+ OS.

I am on El Capitan (10.11) - any reason for this not being stated as supported? Should I feel comfortable in buying? Just don`t want to buy the game only to find it not work (as I don`t have a PC). Thanks again!

Hello!

With the 2.5.4 version, the game launches correctly. However, there is still no icon, and now the game looks very blurry on a retina screen (even with the UI scale set to its maximum). To be honest the look of TtA was really better with the 32 bit version.

I tried to maintain Alt during the launch to eventually get a pref. pane, but there is no pop up window. So I can't increase/change the resolution.

I was able to retrieve the 32 bit version from my Time Machine backup, I can confirm, at the same resolution (retina screen) and UI scaled to its maximum, the 32 bit version looks great, but the 64 bit one is blurry. Is there a fix or something coming?

Tested on MBP 13" retina.

Thank you in advance.

Hey, it works for me on El Captain just fine but we cannot guarantee everything working perfectly and things not breaking with updates. Unfortunately, it is very resource-demanding to maintain backward compatibility with such old versions of macOS.

We will look into this. There are some problems with our new renderer on pre-10.14 macOS versions. Sorry for the inconvenience.

FYI, renderer has also problem with 10.14, not only pre-10.14. (I'm currently running on Mojave 10.14.6).

Thanks I went ahead and bought and am having a blast on my oldie El Capitan OS.

On a separate note, any idea why the Mac version has no app icon? It seems the PC version has one. Thanks!

Yes, and the 32 bit Mac version has a beautiful icon too.

Any update about this issues? (no icon + blurry screen on Mac)

Thank you.
