I wont spoil exactly what happened or with what characters, but I met someone and offered to help him with his problem. In return I would like him to join my army. He said he doesn't want to join army so I had 2 choices :
I insist / I wont force you .

I didn't want to force him so I thought I would just help him and be on my way. But now he disappeared and I can't reload,
so I just lost a chance to have a cool fight ...

Why can't decisions like this be written with some kind of warning ? In no way is "I wont force you" synonymous with "then you are on your own buddy".
I know exactly the situation you're talking about and I made the same choice (with the same reasoning). This system is absolute trash.
same here. It ruined all my joy. I really wanted to have him on my side and be able to talk to him in the tent.
You'll have to redo the whole chapter. But yes this should be fixed.
FYI - save game location appears to be: C:\Users\username\AppData\LocalLow\CDProjektRED\Thronebreaker\SaveData

I've been manually copying the folder to my desktop so i can reload a save if i want to make a different choice. Just need to remember to copy it at the right time.

thanks.. still not a good game design (and i agree with the person in question, that he´s gone for good afterwards, was not obvious).
Mh interesting. I'm facing the very first choice of the game now and as I totally don't like choices in games in general, I will patiently wait that the first guides come up on the Internet to check the consequences before any of them. Thanks to the author of this topic to have made me aware of this. ^^

PS: I think it's my OCD to want to make only one run of each game but make it perfect. I know it can sound weird but I really don't want to regret anything after 10h of gameplay.

What a bunch of crybabies. Make a decision and then deal with it. I love that the game is not allowing you to save scum the various choices.
Sorry I have too much games to play to bother with a gameplay feature I don't like. Waiting for the wiki to pop everywhere on the Internet is quite a good solution for my case I assume. :)
