Got through the frist two acts and set it aside due to it just being too easy, even for someone who is not a gwent master.

I know they buffed difficulty with the patch. How is it?
I find it unplayable now. I’m in aedirn and can’t get past any battle anymore. Think the scoiatel are too overpowered compared to my deck but I can’t do anymore tommy deck. Don’t know if it’s just me but I’m not just losing I’m being slaughtered and can’t progress in the game.

What is "tommy deck"?
I've hit a wall in act 4. Basically done playing this. Doesn't help that either some of the cards are bugged or just that their text doesn't accurately describe what they're supposed to do. Neither Eyck nor Gascon seems to actually strengthen themselves anymore, and Eyck won't do damage on deploy despite the fact that I'm clearly facing monsters.
I used farmers (the scythe people) on 99% of the fights in this game. They could clear every battle that didn't require killing the enemy, although sometimes it took a few resets. Essentially didnt change my deck throughout the game other than to add in 2 dwarves and exchange heroes.

In the final act every nilfguardian card will have ~20+ points in value which can destroy some decks. But the use of any of several gimmicks and the ability to infinitely restart means that even really bad decks can eventually clear them.
