Ok I am at the final battle but seem to have hit a brick wall in terms of difficulty. I know there is many people who have completed this and think it is not too bad, I have tried many of the strategies sugested but no luck. I don't know if they have upped the difficulty or rebalanced things in a recent patch but no strategy or deck seems to work. For example after winning the first round and having a 221 point lead with all my rows full and all cards used up on the second round with the opponent only having 3 cards left to play I have to pass . Then he manages to overturn a deficit of 221 with only 3 cards left to play ... I mean come on thats just bs. I just want to conclude the story now not have to be caught in some never ending battle with some Nilfgardian General who has been patched so he can seemingly pull infinite high powered cards out of his arse ..... any chance of a patch to close this particular orifice Thronebreaker devs .. or at least give an option to nerf him so people can conclude the story without having the joy of a great game sucked out of them at the final hurdle. I don't want new stategies suggested I have had my fill now, I don't think I am the only person to have reached this point. How about having Regis turn up and help you that would be great, it would not be the first time he has helped in a tough battle at a castle !

..............................................

Edit ...... I did not realise you could alter the difficulty at any time , I thought it was set for the whole playthrough lol...... in Adventure mode final battles are easy ....... but I still think the Regis idea would have been good ;)

they changed nothing to it.
the cheapest way to win that very last fight are the sorceresses adding more cards to the deck. and that scout drawing cards after 2 turns.
combined with what ever heros still follow you.

i lost almost every body on the fly. xD
eyck: nope, you stole the monastry treasure you evil
black girl: nope, you are to nice
dwarf: nope, you blamed my family
xavier: nope, well you know what
...

to bad this game has autosave n only 1 slot per game. there are scenes n battle id like to replay.

I'm completely with you regarding calling this fight utter B.S. I've played the game without changing the difficulty for any fight, so that suggestion is not the proper solution. This difficulty spike and abilities the Nilfgard General uses are totally imbalanced ridiculous and infuriating.

I was absolutely loving this game until this point. I've reached the breaking point of frustration, and not only is the battle making me want to quit and stop playing, the lack of a save point right before the finale is unacceptable. If I want to change my army for a new tactical try, I have to skip through that long final dialogue / the infiltrators game / AND more storytelling. 10 minutes to try a broken unbelievable fight.

In summary to the DEVS - Fix this ridiculous finale please. I want to completely love this game. I don't want to youtube the ending.
Fully agree. This last fight is supposed to deliver the most fun - unfortunaly, it's frustrating BS. I don't like it and for me, I'm done with the game - considered as won and uninstall this ... with bad experience.
