I've had quite a few crashes so far but now everytime I try to start the fight it loads for 2 seconds and then crash. Tested it several times now, exact same thing like 5-6 times in a row.
I've seen some performance issues in specific card battles. Don't think it's tied 100% to hardware (1080ti FX8350 @ 4k w/ 4k pack upgrade) as game is a solid 60 fps until these specific battles appear, where it hangs 1-7 seconds while the enemy is trying to make a move. My cpu/gpu usage go crazy when the hanging happens. I had AA set to 4 in nvidia panel, then disabled it and only use the game's built-in AA. That seemed to help a lot. Also, the effects of some cards made it worse, like setting a row on fire.

Try lowering your settings and see if you can get through the card match. Even try lowering graphic settings, it might help if there's some sort of bug in the game.
I have tried a few times putting it on literally as low as possible but same thing.

I've run into the same issue I'm stuck on the end of Act 4 now. Gotten stuck before in act 3, I tried creating a new game and loading between the new game save and my main save, also tried traveling between camp and back directly before the battle. Seemed to help or maybe got lucky, got me through a few battles where I thought I was perma stuck. Also running the repair tool might help. Someone said the freezes/crashes are due to an issue with old radeon graphic cards which is might be true in my case.
I'll try those things tomorrow and see how it goes. And yeah my computer is fairly old so it might be a bug or something, but it's above the minimum specs so shouldn't be a problem.
Think I have seen others have similar problems, all with AMD cards, might be something there.
