This isn't a MMO, it's a singleplayer game. Which advertises that your decisions can lead to different outcomes. Outcomes that players might want to see without having to replay the whole game from the beginning.

One can manually make copies of the savegames (The SaveData folder at C:\Users\<User>\AppData\LocalLow\CDProjektRED\Thronebreaker ), but filesystem level savegame management isn't exactly what I'd expect of a game in 2018.

Just... why?
Yeah, agreed. It's probably a way to force players to live with the consequences of their actions. An option to save manually would be appreciated nevertheless.
Another QOL improvement that is sorely needed.

Agreed, for a singleplayer game it should really be the players choice whether or not they want to replay any given part of the game.
So you made a bad choice and now what to change it? This is an Ironman type game. Make a choice and live with it. Plus this is the only way to get replayability.

I like it. Forces the players to own what they do.
