ChesHatter: We survived.
Despite my initial issues with the game (like the notoriously bipolar NPCs who were friendly one second and then murderizing Bruno the next), my survivors finally made it through the war when it ended on the 45th Day.
I was a little disappointed in how it ends -- "The War Is Over", brief epilogue, done -- but the game was obviously enjoyable enough to make it that far, even before the update that fixes a lot of the bugs.
Pavle (my scavenger and bandit-killer) and Katia (my trader) both made it through from start to finish. Sadly Bruno has died every playthrough :(. A girl named Arica joined and got shot to death attempting to steal from bandits (after which Pavle had a badass revenge mission of killing every single one of them, save one, armed only with a knife), but Anton and Marin both joined and made it to the end as well.
I've noticed that with the new patch, I've been given random survivors to start with -- this is great, as I was hoping for this in the beginning. I will, however, miss having dependable all-star Pavle, and really helpful Katia, always on the team though.
I wound up really liking this game after being unsure of it at first, and I would love to hear anyone else's experiences with it!

We survived as well. We were doing a decent job of scraping by with the supplies our scavengers brought back each night, and then we had a visitor. Boris joined the group, and my eyes almost popped out of my head when I saw his carrying capacity. From that point on, Pavle took point, especially in areas where there were patrols or snipers, and would carry everything he could back to the exit; during future visits to that location, Boris would go in and haul away an insane amount of materials, allowing us to quickly build more advanced crafting stations quickly. There was one hairy point where Pavle was at a construction site and ran into a military patrol right as they killed another scavenger; it was too late for him to hide, so I had him try to fight his way out, but wound up limping away after emptying 3 of my 6 shotgun rounds into a still standing soldier (it didn't kill him, but thankfully it slowed him down significantly). Things were touch and go with Pavle the next morning, but with copious amounts of bedrest and bandages, he eventually recovered, and wound up living to see the end of the war along with the rest of the party.
