Yet i cannot purchase This War of Mine: The Little Ones on GoG -Yet it's still DRM free....Why?

I can install the Humble Bundle version on unlimited machines, it's offline etc.

Yes it's available in the store *but* it's greyed out and wont allow me to buy it. GoG's version of This War of Mine -although DRM free as well- clearly has some algorithm in it which still checks for it's 'own' . So, even though i own a DRM free version of This War of Mine, You must have to buy GoG's DRM free version to buy The Little Children...sigh It keeps prompting me that i must own Thsi War of Mine Soundtrack version

Aah I see.
I would have expected to be able to just buy it because you can download the installer.
Maybe the devs have a difference which causes the addon not to work if it's not the GOG release (which would be weird as Humble Bundle is DRM free too).
Yeah I tried not using Galaxy -just sign in to the web site and purchase it with the installer option, but nope it checked straight off when you add it to your basket, then click to purchase is completely greyed out. Shame as the humble version is exactly the same as GoGs minus the 'soundtrack Edition' tag at the end. Deluxe instead.
Thanks anyway. Would love a proper reason from GoG about it. Not just a 'you need to buy ours...'

it's by two different distribution companies
if humble was owned by or was a subsiduary of GoG then i could understand why you didn't understand why you couldn't buy the Dlc

it'll probably come up as a freebie sometime in the future ( or be on heavy discount ) at the time of posting (10 08 2019) it's £3.09 from £14.99 , i paid £4.99 and don't regret it
although saying that mine won't start at all, i have the latest exe with all the available dlc (i'm hoping that their will be a fix soon)

appears it was something to do with the bios on the pc

neighbor froze to death as did reuben when i went to take fuel to the neighbor lol

This has nothing to do with this game in particular, but with how the Gog-shop tries to prevent people to buy dlc's which they than couldn't play because of the missing base game. It's a precaution and Gog of course can't know that you own a version of this game from another vendor, no matter if drm free or not. There is also a slight chance that the Gog-version of the base game or dlc (again, not in particular this but in general) has a different layout of data or registry structure and might not work with a vendor-foreign base/dlc.

If you still like to purchase this here, you might want to contact Gog support. Maybe they can unlock an option to buy this dlc without having the base game if you declare to understand that it might simply not work with the humble version.
Nah, it's alright. I've given up on the GoG version and bought 'The Little Ones' on steam during a sale.

GoG are quite right to protect themselves, just the 'DRM free' part confused me.

Thanks anyway

So you used a steam drm version of the dlc to work on a drm free version of the base game? How does that work? steam wont let me buy any dlcs seperately unless I own the base game that the dlc is attached to. So how did you do it? And if you did, how did you even make it work? Did you somehow take the steam drm off the dlc using some drm stripping tool and then made it work with your drm free humble bundle version?

What is this nonsense? You've been here 8 years and you don't know you can't mix and match pieces of games/dlc from separate stores?
