Franko the trader has stopped showing up at the shelter. This is during an 80 day game with no mods or cheats and the latest patch. He showed up normally for about half the game, then when "cold weather" hit, he stopped arriving and now hasn't been seen for weeks.

In a way, this is an unofficial harder mode, as the survivors now need to go out to trade, but it's a bit annoying as this is obviously due to a bug. There seems to be no way to get him back now that he has disappeared from the game.

Another issue is that the survivor who returns from scavenging will frequently get stuck when trying to talk to the child after coming through the door. In the worst cases, both the survivor and the child are stuck in place and can't move or interact. Other times, it is only the returning survivor who gets stuck. In either case, exiting the game and reloading fixes the problem.

Neither of the above issues occurred before the recent patch.

Same for me. In my last two games since the recent patch, Franko showed up two, or three times, and then never again. It makes acquiring materials more difficult. I had over a dozen bottles of moonshine stored up, and no one to trade them with, for the longest time. I hope this gets fixed, soon.

It seems to be related to winter. As soon as winter starts, Franko stops appearing. This definitely did not happen before the recent patch.
The last two scenarios I played, started in winter. He'd show up 2, maybe 3 times, then never again. Hopefully, whatever the problem is, will be fixed relatively soon.
I have encountered this issue as well. The latest patch has broken Franko and also random encounters for my most recent playthroughs. Franko only appeared once on day three, and the random encounters have stopped as well. Only one daytime encounter occurs at the shelter. It alternates between the shelled tenement survivor and the children seeking medicine for their sick mother. Other than that, and bandit attacks at night (yay!), the shelter is more like a ghost house. This doesn't break the game per se, but it does make it seem incredibly boring without the moral dilemmas the survivors face during the daytime quests. If this game gets another patch, and this issue is fixed, I'm sure many gamers will rejoice at Franko's return to Pogoren.
I started a new game that didn't begin in winter. As stated sbove, Franko only showed up once, on day 3. It's been a while since the last update. I'm wondering why it's taking so long to get these issues fixed. Surely, they have to be aware of the problem?

There is the possibility that they made the visits of Franko irregular or not happening at all, for purpose of "balance".

Edit: This problem seems to bre present in the steam version aswell.

Franko showing up once, and never again, is not balance.

That is up to the developers. I had a campain where didn't had acess to any trader (not the ones that could help) until the middle of the second week and had to begin the game again — I commited the error of not building traps for rats or the improved metal workshop to make saw blades, thus I entered in a spiral of scarcity while the raids became intense—, but this time I managed to go through the winter, even without Franko appearing. It is harder, but seems to be the only way to play now.

Edit: grammar.

Also, while it's not as important, I've noticed that since the update, the bios aren't working anymore. They don't talk about themselves, like they used to. They only react to events.

What you mean? What used to happen with the bios?

Edit: Did you teste with and without the DLC?

I don't have the dlc. The bios would periodically update with the surviviors stories. It's not doing that anymore. They still react to events, like people coming to the door for help, and stuff my people do while out scavenging, but that's it.
The same goes for me. Franco did not come to the shelter except for the 2nd or 3rd day from the beginning.

Looking at the steam community's forum I saw that some people have this problem, while others not. But I can't say how common it is for the users. There are some things that I didn't even know that existed in the game.

Edit: maybe we should make some test, like chaging the location of the instalation, playing a game without the DLC Little Ones, some of the updates or DLC anniversary edition.

Same issue here...he comes on 3rd day and then never again. I thought it's some sort of new challenge which makes wood grinding more essential. Well it seems not
