Is it Possible?
1.0.958 is the GOG version number, and for GOG it is the latest one. If your friend tells you there is a 2.X.XXX GOG version, he's either wrong or lying.

For knowing the actual dev version of the game, look in the Options menu (bottom right corner). As far as I know, the latest one (for any and all platforms) is 1421.958
Thank you very much My Fella, and Happy GOG Time

Or he has an older version 2 GOG installer? You know before GOG changed to the current, better naming scheme for the installers.

Not in this case. The first patch for TP came out a week after release and it was already using the current versioning numbers (1.0.858 at that time). You can see it in the changelog history.

Which was right around the switch (didn't seem that long ago...), e.g. the Linux installer used the older installer version numbering.

Maybe the original release had 2.0.0.1 for all OSs? I really don't remember.
