Hi everybody! I just bought the game and simply, after the installation there is no sign of any file related to Thimbleweed Park on the HD, application folder or launch control. Is anyone else facing such an issue?
Thank you!

You may want to check here. There is also a workaround in that thread to extract the *.pkg if the problem isn't the destination folder.

Thank you very much, I hope this .pkg policy will be abandoned soon. I will try to extract the pkg, but there is no app file opening it with Pacifist. The problem is literally that it installs nothing. This is not a 1.5 € game, it is new and not being able to use it is quite disappointing.

To have a useable app file you likely need to do some additional manual steps if extracting.
Did you specify the destination folder when installing normally via the pkg file? The other thing that is in the post I linked to was contacting support. They should be able to help you if you can't get it to work and worst case refund your money.

Hi, there,

I managed to follow the instructions on that thread and now I have a working updated game. When you open the pkg file in Pacifist, click the "Resources" tab and look for a folder called "payload" among the resources. Select the "payload" folder and click "Extract."

Once you extract the "payload," look for it and rename the folder to "Thimbleweed Park.app," et voilá!

Put the newly minted copy of the game in your Applications folder or wherever you want and get playing. :)

-dZ.
Same issue - I'm on OSX Sierra.

I paid and downloaded Thimbleweed Park from Gog.

.pkg installer appears to run and reports "Installation was Successful" but it didn't install anything. (Yes, it did ask me to pick a destination during the install process, and yes I did...but it still didn't install anything).

This wasn't a super positive first Gog experience. Pretty lame to jump through these hoops for a $15 game.

I did the following to install the game:

(extract the package)
xar -xf thimbleweed_park_en_1_0_881_11726.pkg

(change into the extracted package.pkg folder)
cd package.pkg

(extract the Scripts archive)
tar -xvf Scripts

(rename the resulting "payload" folder to "Thimbleweed Park.app")
mv payload Thimbleweed Park.app

move the Thimbleweed Park.app wherever you'd like (i.e. Applications) and right click -> open to run.
I'm encountering the same issue with the most recent version. Following the above instructions did not work.
Hi! I've installed the game and patch successfully but i can't launch the game because i've a "missing file", someone can help me please?
I can't install this game on my iMac running Mojave. After running the installer, the installer states that the game has been installed, but I can't find it! It's not in my Application folder or anywhere else on my computer. What to do?
