Hello!

After I download the Minigame, it won't install because Windows 10 does not know how to start and asks which app to use for it.

It is a pkg-file and not an .exe, this might be the reason, but how to install then?

Greetings

You've accidentally downloaded the Mac installer. Look at the attached screenshot how to change the download to the Windows installer.

Thank you, that did it. (I did not recognize as I never had to choose this so far).

Unfortunately, it installs now but does not start. It states "Your graphic card does not support the DirectX 12 features the game requires".

But I positively have DirectX12, as "dxdiag" showed me just now.

Yeah, Windows 10 has DirectX 12 included but your graphics card doesn't support it. The card is probably too old. :(
What? A point-and-click pixelated art adventure asks for that?! Looks like I have to add a new entry to my black list of the inappropriate developers...

I think this game was just the byproduct of Ron Gilbert experimenting with a new engine or something like that, so, sadly, it only works on Windows 10 and has some high graphic requirements, while Thimbleweed Park works perfectly fine on old machines with integrated graphic cards and older OS. Delores wasn't developed to be a commercial game.
The card might be too old?

I think I have a word with my PC dealer, because the PC is just one year old and this is not the first topic, also "Edith Finch" would not start because it says the GPU does not match the needs.

Thank you for the tip.

Thank you for the tip.
Your PC is just one year old? Then it's nearly impossible that your graphics card doesn't support DirectX 12. What card do you have?
It is an NVIDIA GeForce 9600 GT.

That card is from 2008 and doesn't support DirectX 12, not even DirectX 11.
After talking to the PC dealer ist really seems that last year he just replaced the board and HDD, not the graphics card for some reason...

Thank you!
