I seem to hit the infamous disappearing elevator bug in the Air Tower in The Mage Towers (Mission 8) of Thief Gold. Lots of such posts indicating people encounter that bug in the TTLG Forums. So I suppose there really is no way to save some two hours of playing from going down the drain, and I really have to restart the Mission?

I heard that one can use DromEd to activate fly or no-clip mode, but I have no idea about it whatsoever. Anybody knows how to do so, or point me to the right tutorial?

I recently had this same problem; installing dromed 1.37 (only place I could find it was on the thief gold install cd) then firing it up and doign the following

- opening your savegame with 'edit_load_game <filename>'
- select the purple circle block thing in the center (you, the player) and lowering/raising the Z value of it to whatever you require
- saving it back with 'edit_save_game <filename>'

All in all once it was installed, took about a minute to fix and saved me the trouble of having to replay the mission.

It happened to me, i simply used the "cheat" to skip that level ... it really pissed me off, not even wanted to step on that level again.
