Mission: Song of the Caverns

The key in Lady Valarus' office won't open the chest containing the water talisman. Restarting the mission does not help. Any idea how can I overcome this bug?

I'm playing Steam version + TFix 1.13.

Are you certain you're using the right key? I think the key to the safe with the flute is also in the office...

I'm quite certain of that. There's two key in the office. One unlock the safe containing the flute. The other one (for water talisman chest) located in a box on lower most shelf directly facing the secret door.

And for some reason, in a walkthrough video on youtube, there's a guard inside the office. I don't find any guards inside the office. :-/

And there's no lock on the chest too. It looked like a plain box rather than a chest/

Did you pick up a key from the madman in the caves? I think I made the same mistake as you, searched the whole opera (knocking out everyone in the process out of anger and to be thorough). There should be a key somewhere in his shack.

Thank you BiskutMentega. Your tip just saved me. Unlock the chest with the key from the small chest in the shelf, put away the key and open it. Very weird behavior.
