So finally got the game working, as detailed in this post: http://www.gog.com/forum/thief_series/thief_deadly_shadows_crashes_on_windows_xp_sp3

However, now SOMETIMES when I load a game or enter a new area Garrett gets stuck jumping, as if my space bar was stuck. Nothing helps (my space bar is not stuck). Ideas folks?

I'm a patient man but this is starting to remind me too much of the nineties when getting any game to run was a struggle just like this. =)

I did just now, didn't help. still jumping around like a rabbit on speed. Also half of the background in the menu screen turned black. Wouldn't been a biggie had it worked otherwise.
I suggest you report this in the TTLG topic.
I'll do that.

This may be due to multi-core processors. I recall having this kind of issues on my dual-core AMD computer back in 2007. Try fiddling with Windows configs for the game executable to disable one of the cores (unfortunately, I can't recall how I used to do it, but it's on the Internet and is easy).
