I really want to do some youtube video playthroughs of the game but I cannot get the game to record properly. Bandicam only captures the audio (and it's not the classic black screen problem as it ONLY affects Thief). I also tried LoiLo and it can capture the game but it gives me rainbow vomit screen errors like an acid trip.

Has anyone successfully recorded the game? I haven't tried FRAPS yet but any feedback from other people would be great.

I would suggest taking a look at https://obsproject.com/

Very good software and it's free too (open source)! Another well known open source program is cam studio http://camstudio.org/! You could try FRAPS too but I think OBS is better. ;-)
