Hi everyone,

Just wanted to let you know that we have uploaded some brand spankin' new installers for the first two Thief games. Included now are all the NewDark (version 1.21) fixes for both games. Shout outs/thank yous go out to voodoo47 who has been more than awesome with the community and helping us out with everything Thief-related.

So, please, enjoy these newly-enhanced installers and let us know what you think... and don't forget to steal everything not nailed down :P

anomaly: Just to clarify here - after installing this latest version (for Thief 2) what other patches or mods would still be worthwhile? I'm assuming this renders some of the patches in the patch thread obsolete, yes?

Any? All?

daveG93: I would recommend Tafferpatcher, it has user-made graphical updates, a built in fan mission selector and some patches that fixes bugs that I noticed are still in the default GOG version.

Arethmus: I noticed that Thief 2's NewDark upgrade has numerous frame drop problems and a complete lack of anti-aslising; not to mention no bugfixes what so ever. All of this is fixed in Thief GOLD (including the bugfixes) but Thief 2 is full of these problems. I was wondering if GOG can release an update for Thief 2 that addresses these problems, similar to the update you guys gave to Thief GOLD?
Would be so kind as to write to us via the Support link of the game? I know it can be a PITA but whenever there are issues like this it's best to go through the official channels. Thanks :D

Multisampling does not work well on older GPUs, which is why it's disabled by default.

Crosmando: I notice that after installing Tafferpatcher there's now two executables in my T2 folder, thief2.exe and Thief2_ND.exe, does it matter which one I use?
Have you patched build 2.0.0.46 prior to installing TP?

Crosmando: Sure you aren't talking about Thief 1? My build of Thief 2 is 2.0.0.18 and it seems to be the latest.

Yep. 2.0.2.48 incorporates all changes from previous patch.
