Hi everyone,

Just wanted to let you know that we have uploaded some brand spankin' new installers for the first two Thief games. Included now are all the NewDark (version 1.21) fixes for both games. Shout outs/thank yous go out to voodoo47 who has been more than awesome with the community and helping us out with everything Thief-related.

So, please, enjoy these newly-enhanced installers and let us know what you think... and don't forget to steal everything not nailed down :P

Sounds great but could I ask what these fixes does and since I am playing T2 now should I uninstall and then install the new exe and start over (I was only on mission 3)?

Not complaining, cause a new and better working version is always awesome, but I bought these just last night and installed them for the first time this morning. Literally like five minutes before you updated them. xD

Can you share anything on why this is possible now? I thought the background behind NewDark was very legally grey?
It's great to have it included now!

And just like that, an unofficial patch becomes an official patch.

How does the new GOG version work with this for Thief 1: http://www.ttlg.com/forums/showthread.php?t=134733

Can I install them straight onto the new GOG version no problem?

Is it possible to disable NewDark mod? Not that I will ever play either games in its original form but there may be others that want to.

Anyway, kudos for getting it working. It's nice to be able to play modernized versions of old games with few required tweaks.

The gameplay-affecting additions can be turned off via ini files.

Thief Gold says 1.21 Finale Version at least, I haven't tried Thief 2 yet.

So, presumably this doesn't include anything beyond New Dark? Would one still want to install the Tafferpatcher for Thief 2 afterwards?
