Hi, I was thinking about buying this game and adding it to my collection, though I would like to know if it will have issues like other versions of the game, such as continual crashing due to the multiple processors. I'm running on WinXP and my computer is about 4 years old, though I tried playing a demo of Thief 2 on here before and it would just crash. Would I also need to use a patch and/or some other software such as a virtual machine to be able to play this game correctly? I wouldn't mind some minor problems in the game, just as long as I can play and enjoy it.

I use Xp, I once bought the Thief trilogy on disc and the first two didn't work. However, I re-bought the second game on GOG and it works fine.
So the answer is, probably.
the gog version should work fine, but if you need widescreen and more bugfixes, you should try tafferpatcher.
