I'm thinking 'wait,' but let's see how those who've bought it respond.

patch in a week or so

If you have a Maxwell GPU, get it now.
Wait Don't buy it yet.
Loving it, yes get it, it is one of the best rpgs in years.
Always better to wait with a well supported game apart from that you'll get more spoilers the longer you wait.
Also playing this in 4-8k in 120+ fps would be the superior experience.
Personally I just wait for the amd drivers that should come out this week and then I will go at it for real.
Will no doubt play this game many times so will get to enjoy it with the better patches/mods/dlc and monster computer down the line anyhow.
thanks everyone
Game runs smoothly and like a dream on my GTX 760 @ 1080p & 60+FPS. It's awesome and I've had exactly zero crashes. That said, some people have reported issues, however I have zero doubt that CD RED will fix any lingering issues in due time. So; buy it, or don't - really up to you. I'd recommend it harder than any other game I've bought.
There's a good chance you will run into some bugs now and that can be frustrating. If you want a smooth experience, you should probably wait a while for patches. If you don't mind occasional bugs, you might as well get it now.
Wait till you go to Novigrad. Let's see if your old rig can still cut it. *like mine*
Buy now. Why wait? Game running great for me nvidia gtx 650
Game runs excellent on medium to high settings here, GTX 660Ti. However, there is the random game freeze that's spoiling my experience with it some. Not earth shattering (unless it's been a while since I saved), but still a game breaking experience for someone who meets the minimum specs for the game. They need to figure that one out.

Turn off vsync and turn fps limiter to Unlimited.
Lol high settings with a 660? I barely use high settings with a 780....

My advice : don't buy it yet and wait some patches, this game is not finished....
This is a good game with some big bugs.

I don't disagree with you, it seems another guy just can run it with a 650 as well but that's also a matter of resolution.
