So, recently installed Witcher 3 again for the new DLC, but anywhere from mere moments into the game to up to around an hour the game will either completely freeze up my computer forcing me to manually turn the system off and restart or the game will crash and cause my computer to reboot.

I have tried rolling back graphics drivers (NVIDIA), reinstalled the game, played the game in complete low graphic settings. This is both with the1.10 and 1.11 patches. Last time I played was the 1.08 patch and had no problems. I am not using any mods and I don't have the d3d11 and dxgi dlls or see a crash report document other threads have mentioned.

Yep, they screwed this great game quite. My frame rate dropped drastically especially when in sewers.

It's not the game; it's your system.
Witcher 3 takes a lot of processing, both cpu and graphics.

Your symptoms sound like overheating, from either of the above.
Try using a temperture monitoring program for both cpu and graphics card; I think you'll see it going really really high.

I have a 680gtx and had to limit framerate to 30fps and set most stuff on medium to get it to run well.
Even then, with my aggressive fan settings, the fans are usually making a lot of noise.
Maybe try using the settings I mentioned; game still looks awsome with them. ;-)

No, try again.

While I haven't completely discounted it being system related I have so far been unable to duplicate this crash/lockup with any other graphic intensive games.

Yep, I have a same problem. Using amd card. Everything was fine first when the game launched now when i try play hearts of stone it reboots my computer. Dont know whats the problem.
