I'm missing this type of thread here so I have decided to create it myself. I want to have it in one place for convenience.

I will start with my wishes and by few that I have already seen around, if you want you can join in and put down yours. I will try to edit this post to summarize them all in one place.

Wishlist:

- Let me hide the "Press SPACE to skip" message. It is really intrusive to have it in the cutscenes. I know I can skip them even without the message...

- Please let us change the font size of the HUD.

- I'd like one button sign casting back like in witcher 2. You can't just press 3 to cast aard you have to hit 3 to select aard and then q to cast.

- I'd also like to be able to put Parry and interact onto the same key like they were in default witcher 2.

- Key for making screenshots is a must.

- Add an indicator to food how much life will be restored. 5s/10s/20s is not enough information for me

- If consuming two apples with 5s cooldown each the cooldown wont be doubled, instead the second apple replaces the cooldown of the first apple, so one apple gets lost in fact

- AoE loot. It's not MMO, no lootninjas, picking leftovers from dozen points is kinda annoying; or

- Instead of forcing us to focus Geralt's facing toward interactive object, better use camera focus, similar to one used when initiating dialogues with people - you can do that with person even if Geralt's back facing that character. Because positioning Geralt to loot that particular bush is very annoying.

- Tune control input lag; in open world game lagging and imprecise controls lead to wrong moves, leading to falls from heights, leading to health's loss, that doesn't regenerate now.

- FOV slider, since you removed Witcher 1 camera selection.

- Keep Geralt centred when going that "duh witcha sensez" mode, as Geralt is hefty guy on it's own, zooming him in and reducing FOV is not funny, especially given precise positioning you require.

- Ability to adjust hue/saturation/other visual stuff, as we need beautiful picture, not cornea burn. Plus, at times game is beautiful, it deserves photo-mode. While taking screenshots is possible through adding GoG's Witcher 3 to Steam, no built-in adjustments are possible. Your neighbours from Czech Republic, from SCS Soft, add that to their Euro Truck Simulator 2. Truck simulator, Carl!

- Remove that voiced-over intro before every damn save. Annoying as hell. Or make it insta-skippable. RMB would work fine.

- Why there are certain options in inventory/character menu that are available through cycling only? Wouldn't list/table be easier to control? After all, PC Master Race, keyboard, mouse, remember? Apparently not, given how goofy controls are.

- Less overprotection, please (for those willing to live dangerously;P), as selecting, confirming, then confirming again is kinda annoying when you need to do, I dunno, disassemble several things in row.

- Better grass and vegetation, please. This one looks like cardboard. Ah, yeah, I forgot, different render. ;P

- Built-in FPS meter to see how close we are to proverbial "almost constant 60 FPS".

- When Geralt pulls out his sword it should automatically put him in combat mode. Currently it seems that combat mode is active only if enemies are in certain radius. Main reason for my suggestion is it should fix bug where Geralt puts his sword away during combat and fighting with archers, which are too far away to trigger combat mode.

- Personally, I'd like to see us dismount Roach only onto solid ground. I was on a bridge and it dismounted me to the left, and I subsequently fell off, but the right side had plenty of space. However, out in the wilderness I've seen myself mount/dismount from both sides, so obviously it's not hard-coded to a particular side.

- One-click casting, and not just for spells - potions, crossbow, etc too. I don't care if controllers can't handle it. A mouse and keyboard can.

- "Escape" key should close/back out of the current window, not take you to the next-higher selection panel (designed for controller use, naturally). If I'm at the local map and press Esc, I want to go back to gameplay, not have it take me - with each successive Esc keypress - to the world map, then the panel-selection screen, and only then decide after the third Esc that I actually want to go back to the game. (The same thing happens with most of the other panels, but I seem to run into it when using the map a lot more often.)

- Oils need a time duration, this 20 swing/hit mechanic needs to be applied after like 15 seconds of combat and then it breaks the flow of combat when you have to open inventory and apply it again and again and again. It's horrid.

- Regarding potions, they absolutely need to allow us to control how many potions we want to make of a specific potion type when we meditate. I'm already sick of only having 3 swallow potions when you need to use all 3 potions only heal 1 entire health bar on the hardest difficulty. It's just meh. They need a buff and they need to allow us to use more of them, right now its ridiculous.

- You should be able to loot herbs in the environment with a single button press, rather than having it open a menu. And I'd prefer to be able to do it while on the run (currently, it'll break your stride). This leads into the next point....

- Maybe I'm missing the option, but I'd like to be able to equip and un-equip gear while in the store menus.

- What happened to the sort options in your inventory? Am I just missing them? I want to be able to sort by value and weight. And better yet, value/weight.

- Need more quick slots for potions and food. Four would be good. Two is too few

- Subtitles only for Elder Speech and Nilfgaardian

- More options to customize the icons on the minimap (e. g. disable quest marker or certain other icons. Currently you can only turn off the whole minimap or just the "GPS"-mode)

- Compass only instead of the minimap? At least an ability to choose which one I want to use.

- Shortcut to hide/show HUD

- Maybe only have the 'talk' icon on NPC's that are actually going to start a conversation not just "AHK PTOOEY" at my feet.

- Quests/ quest markers for the NPC's that I saved from Bandits who told me to visit them at such-and-such a place. Because I forgot which damn bridge you said.

- Better map. By which I mean a way how to see all my current quests on the map at once. I do not want to switch quests one by one to see where they are.

- I wanna have option to sort formulas when I craft some weapon or armor. I don't wanna see high level formulas on top of my list when i try do new sword or anything.

- An option to toggle on and off the auto-save feature. Every time I boot up the game I start off by deleting 20 or so auto saves. It seems a bit out of hand. I prefer to manage my own game save files.

- An option to toggle on and off all the various onscreen labels for people, animals etc. Perhaps one setting for all the non hostile characters & animals and another for everything. I know it's a little kid, cow, pig, etc. It's kind of holding back the immersion factor a bit.

- An option to toggle on and off the look spring feature for the camera. As I'm running along I'm constantly bumping the camera back up as it wants to duck down lower than I prefer.

- An option to toggle on and off the cutscenes before the load screen. Not a biggie but after seeing it 30 times I got it.

- Quicksave and Quickload for controllers. As two new options in the menu.

- Items storage at inns.

- Option to rest at the inn which would restore your health. An alternative to eating/drinking on higher difficulties.

- Custom game difficulty. Add a new difficulty which will disable fast travel, hide the minimap (gives only compass) and brings in cooking and character needs.

- Keep missions' order without shuffling them in journal.

- Should remember what type of missions tab was opened and open it, not main quest.

- Several custom markers, not necessarily all should be visible on compass/GPS, but ability to mark certain spots with custom notes would be useful. Less important, if three points from above are added.

- Split crafting and alchemical components into two different tabs, same for various "usable" items: food is food, notes are notes, potions/oils/bombs are what they are. Digging through current tabs is like trying to find something in your girlfriends' bag.

- Better horse physics. Roach stops unpredictably, stumbles upon strangest obstacles, and not always responsive in terms of controls. Well, just like Geralt. But, unlike Geralt, Roach does odd things when traverse over rough terrain. I saw them riding arse towards skies, naturally head was below ground level, and check screenshot. Geralt stuck in that pose, couldn't move, save/load weren't helping. Ability to follow custom marker could be useful.

- Dice poker. Preferably from W1. It was a nice switch of game flow, and was fast, Gwent is not bad, but totally different.

- the possibility to add multiple marks (with notes) on the map so you can mark shops, special hideouts, etc.

- Having an option to disable an active quest marker, I'd like to explore without having a yellow arrow on the mini-map.

- Having an option to see ALL quest waypoints on the map simultaneously.

- Able to scroll through quests while on world map screen.

- New tab for Books & Letters & Notes

- Different tabs for crafting & alchemy stuff (they don't belong together)

When you import a saved game from Witcher 2, it shows you the save worked or didn't work. I have absolutely no idea if mine worked or not.
I would be happy with them fixing the game not starting unless you delete galaxy.dll and them removing Gameworks from the game.
-Freezing in inventory screen.

-Horse getting stuck on small obstacles.
- The big doors in city the city of the Bloody Baron, which separate the peasant-town from Barons Castle, dont open, wenn walking through while sitting on Roach. Running through the door with Roach works.

- Fix the screen-freezing bug in the inventory which appears sometimes

- Target-Lock on the Werewolf, which can be found in a cave under a house in the forest of Velen (the quest with the lost sister), doesnt work or is damn hard so see. While regular monsters got a golden border around the level-indicator when target-lock is active, this does not appear while fighting against this werewolf and its quite difficult to see if target-lock is active or already lost because of the distance (the werewolf runs away periodical

- Add an indicator to food how much life will be restored. 5s/10s/20s is not enough information for me

- If consuming two apples with 5s cooldown each the cooldown wont be doubled, instead the second apple replaces the cooldown of the first apple, so one apple gets lost in fact

As OP said that controller scheme notification has got to go. It would be nice if the controller settings were all hidden unless a controller was connected.

The UI for mouse and keyboard needs some work.
Key for making screenshots is a must.
I have edited the main post with your requests guys. I hope it will get noticed by the CDPR.
A truly intuitive, context-based KBM scheme. Understandably some keys are re-used for several actions depending on context. For example the "X" key is used to call in Roach and stop him during a gallop or the right mouse button is used to activate Witcher Sense during exploration and activate guard stance during combat.

Unfortunately the keys are tied together so when I want to change one key from one action, it also remove the key from other actions of different context. I want to change combat roll from Shift to the "C" key but that also removed Dive during swimming section. That shouldn't happen because those actions are based on contexts that don't happen at the same time. The game knows when to activate the appropriate keys based on context but re-assigning them made a mess of things because for some reason they are tied together.

A good example to emulate would be Battlefield 3. Thanks to it's combined arms theme it has a good context based control scheme. If I change one key for a particular action, it won't automatically affect the same key in another context. Changing vehicle weapon selections to "Spacebar" in the vehicle tab won't remove the jump option in the infantry tab. I want to see a similar KBM scheme in TW3 control options(ironically the 360 controller options in TW3 have a nicely illustrated control scheme based on context).
The werewolf one though, I think it's attempting to encourage the use of the Cat potion.
IMHO best option to layout controls/keys as we see fit is offered by ArmA series. Same keys do various things, but you can bind them separately at each folder as you see fit.

What I want to see:
- Apparent AMD-related (not sure if crossfire-related) flickering of some parts of landscape. Happens randomly, unpredictably, at high frequency. Very annoying and put unnecessary strain to eyes.
- Bigger, yet scalable fonts are must. Very hard to read most of things (I like reading, of first three hours I spent playing Pillars of Eternity I haven't finished character creation:D). No need to go all Bethesda on us, with one huge thing and three words per screen. :)
- As many people said, let us bind keys the way we want. Nobody treats us lefties as normal people, we do not exist for anyone. I had to learn how to play like a right-handed because of that ignorance, come on!
Your neighbours from Czech Republic, from SCS Soft, add that to their Euro Truck Simulator 2. Truck simulator, Carl!
- Better save import control, as game reports failure, and it's not clear whether it was failure or not.
- Remove that voiced-over intro before every damn save. Annoying as hell. Or make it insta-skippable. RMB would work fine.
- Remove durability. Seriously, I can't remember a game where this mechanic would work and wouldn't be a major irritant. There are better ways to be used as moneysink and as showroom, to demonstrate how many types of gear you created.
- Since you already reduced weights for most items to ridiculously low 0.01 of something, maybe you could remove it whatsoever? IMHO most logical Geralt was in Witcher 1, where he carried only important stuff, and haven't turned into mobile exhibition of loot. No offence.
- Fix horse's steering and cruise control, poor thing unable to stay on the road.
- Better grass and vegetation, please. This one looks like cardboard. Ah, yeah, I forgot, different render. ;P
- Built-in FPS meter to see how close we are to proverbial "almost constant 60 FPS". :D
- An answer for a question, why you need "Ultra" system requirements, if game uses less than 3 Gb of RAM, less than 30% of i7-4790k CPU, and does not loads GPUs at 100%? /grin

Ooh, just forgot to metion. This game needs first person view. Because some vistas are epic and "hide HUD" wouldn't help. Plus, after playing GTA V, with all drawbacks, I still think it's an awesome feature and experience. IMHO faux FPV could be added, similar one to that used in Gothic series, where camera was just hanging in front of character's nose. :)

- AoE looting is probably a good feature.
It's somewhat annoying to get through 10 loot menus after you've killed 10 wild dogs. Same for multiple sacks and boxes.
It would also fix a problem when both the camera and Geralt have to look on a loot source to be able to loot it. I can understand why Geralt should be looking at it, but why the camera? It's just silly.

- Target locking distance should be greatly increased.
It should probably be the same as the names drawing distance.

- Removing the zoom in effect in the "Witcher Senses" mode will greatly help.
It's very annoying, because the camera sensitivity stays the same, making it much harder to control. Also, Geralt starts obscuring ~60% of the screen, hiding the clues with his mighty body and fancy swords.

- Hit boxes of larger enemies need some work.
Sometimes you get hit when an enemy's claws/wings are nowhere near you.
Whoa guys. That's a lot of things to go through. I will add the non duplicate ones in the main post.
If Geralt pull out sword it should automatically put him in combat mode. Currently it seems that combat mode is active only if enemies are in certain radius.
Main reason for my suggestion is it should fix bug where Geralt puts his sword away during combat and fighting with archers, which are too far away to trigger combat mode.
