JoeAboveAverage: I reviewed both the wolf armor xml file and the wolf weapon xml file (from DLC10) and found they already contain the New Game+ (NGP) specifications.
Base Wolven NGP armor (chest, gloves, pants, boot) = Mastercrafted wolven armor. Also, there are 3 levels of improvement for the Base NGP equipment.
Likewise, the base NGP wolven steel sword = wolven mastercrafted steel sword and base NGP wolven silver sword = wolven mastercrafted silver sword. Also, 3 levels of improvement are available for the weapons.
Further, crafting diagrams exist for all of the above.
I may be reading this wrong, but this seems to imply that we either have to track down new diagrams or keep these weapons in our inventory until we've leveled high enough to equip them in NG+. If that's the case, and pardon the noob question here, but how is NG+ all that different from simply starting a new game on one of the regular modes, other than enemies being stronger and tougher? I get that we get to keep certain items like weapons and armor, and I believe we get to keep our potion recipes as well (but do we lose the potions themselves since these are usable items, which supposedly don't carry over?), but I'm just not understanding what else differentiates NG+ other than the higher difficulty.
To quote Marty DiBergi from This is Spinal Tap, "Why don't you just make 10 louder and make 10 be the top number, and make that a little louder?"
Again, sorry, I've never played NG+ in any game and I'm sure I'm missing something really obvious or generally well-known, but I guess I'm picturing NG+ as the exact same game, but with harder enemies, and where you don't have to do the Treasure Hunts for armor or find potion/bomb recipes again.
